During late fall och winter the weather has been unexpectedly wet and brutal, especially in northern countries. The multitude of rain has led to much water arriving in the lake of Kinneret.
During several years there has been a great water shortage in the lake and 2009 the headlines in Israel told about how the lake might be heading below the black line, the most low line, indicating when the lake maight start to intake filtered saltwater. The result was big increase in water price and stop of watering of lawns.
This falls rain has been a great blessing and has filled the water reservoirs more than usual. Just this last week-end the level of the lake rose by two centimetres and more is expected as the snow on the northern hills melt.
The current level is 210,16 meter below sea level, which is only 1 m (and some), below the upper red line, marking the upper limit of the lake. Would the level rise even further the gates that lead water to the southern Jordan river would have to be opened. Though, this is not believed to be necessary this year.

| In these times the media is filled with hatred and critical text towards Israel and Jews. Israel, a country that ever since it’s birth has had to withstand constant attacks, war and acts of terror. The people has to live through persecution in many pats of the world. In Sweden hidden melace and hate shows it’s face towards Israel. A hatred one say no longer exists, but in these days appear as soon as bad things can be said about Israel. You can show your support for Israel in many ways.
